On Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 2:30 and 7:00 pm, Jet Cities will present Once Upon a Tune at the Federal Way Performing Arts and Events Center. Our special guest quartet will be The Newfangled Four, who recently took 5th Place at the Barbershop Harmony Society's international competition. Combining slapstick humor with quirky offbeat comedy, The Newfangled Four will be perfect guests on our show. Also appearing will be North by Northwest Region 13's 1st place quartet, Rhapsody, as well as other chorus quartets. Rounding out the show will be Jet Cities Chorus...though you might not recognize us because, well...we'll all be toys!

Federal Way Community Festival
This fun festival takes place August 10, 2024, from 11 am - 6 pm at Town Square Park (31600 Pete von Reichbauer Way S, Federal Way, WA 98003). Join the people of Federal Way for a spectacular celebration of the rich and vibrant diversity that makes our community unique! Jet Cities will have a booth at the festival, and will sing at 4:15 pm. We'd love to see some friends in the audience, or to meet new ones at our booth.
Federal Way State of the City performance
On Thursday, February 15, Jet Cities will had a booth at this year's "State of the City" event. Not only did we have a table with information about singing with Jet Cities, but we'll also had free stickers and "stress stars" on hand. Then beginning around 5:30 pm, the chorus serenaded guests right from our table. It was fun!

There's No Place Like Gnomes for the Holidays Show
Jet Cities Chorus had two VERY fun holiday shows on Saturday, December 16. Our There's No Place Like Gnomes for the Holidays show saw a wonderful group of women--who had been rehearsing with the chorus for seven weeks--make their stage debuts! The show also featured several chapter quartets, plus Touchstone Quartet, who took home 2nd Place medals from the Diamond Division Contest sponsored by Sweet Adelines International.

Sing with us for the holidays! Rehearsals begin October 30
From the end of October to mid-December Jet Cities Chorus had over a dozen women join our holiday chorus, and they had a blast! They all agreed that singing with Jet Cities builds confidence, helps relieve stress, introduces you to new people, and is wonderful "me time!"

Saturday, November 4 | Flannel Fest Dinner and Auction
The Jet Cities and Harmony Kings Choruses joined up for a very exciting Flannel Fest Auction on Saturday, November 4. Social and "perusing" time began at 5:00 pm, followed by dinner at 6:00 and auction around 7:00. The event took place at Marine View Presbyterian Church in Federal Way. There were short performances by members of both groups, a fantastic dinner catered by Olive Garden, and silent, live and dessert auctions! This event is a primary fundraiser for both choruses; if you were in the audience, we thank you very much for the support.

A small group from Jet Cities was at Federal Way's Farmers Market to compete at the city's annual talent show, sometime between noon and 1pm. The winner moves on to the finals, which will be held on September 2. Come and cheer us on!

June 24, 2023: Make Music Federal Way
Jet Cities performed at this year's Make Music Federal Way, kicking off the event with our version of America, as well as another 15 minutes of music. Additionally, we staffed a booth, and had many visitors stop by to see us and to get one of our cool new stickers!

May 8, 2023: Jet Cities' Friends and Family Show
One of the biggest events of the year for Jet Cities is our regional convention and competition in Spokane, even more so in 2023 because competed we LIVE AND IN PERSON for the first time in three years!
In preparation for our performance there, Jet Cities held a Friends & Family Show on May 8 at 8:00 pm. We were in our usual rehearsal space at Journey Church, and we loved having a big, enthusiastic audience! If you were in attendance...THANKS!

Saturday, February 25, 2023: Our 17th Sweetie Pie Social
It was a fun afternoon of entertainment and pie (so much pie!!) at our 17th Sweetie Pie Social fundraiser. The chorus performed, and we had special guests, including Touchstone Quartet and Upward Bound in the Fifth Dimension.
The event was on Saturday, February 25, at Todd Beamer High School, 35999 16th Ave S in Federal Way, WA. There was also raffle baskets and a drawing to win a pie-a-month for a year.
The doors opened at 1:45 pm for pie and the show started at 2:30 pm. Tickets are $20 for Adults; $15 for Seniors, Students, and Military; and 5 and under are free. A piece of pie and a beverage were included, and extra pieces of pie were available for purchase in case you just couldn’t make up your mind!

Mondays, October 24-November , 2022: Holiday Chorus
Join our holiday chorus!! Learn two holiday songs with us at our Monday rehearsals, and when December comes barreling in, you can join us in spreading holiday cheer throughout the area with at least two different performances.
Rehearsals were Mondays, October 24 - November 28, 2022, from 6:30-8:00 pm. We rehearse at Journey Church, 701 South 320th Street in Federal Way. Whether you're a skilled singer or a total newbie, we provided instruction and information to help you along the way. There was no cost for supplies nor instruction.

Our December 11, 2021 performance was rained out (more like "monsoon-ed" out), so we rescheduled for December 18 at 3:00 and 4:00 pm at the Tacoma Mall (4502 S Steele St, 98409) for a fun performance. We hope to were able to see us!
September 9, 2021: Bring Up the Lights!
On Thursday, September 9, 2021, a quartet from Jet Cities helped celebrate the return of live events at the Federal Way Performing Arts and Event Center with a brief performance at 7:00 pm. There was lots of performances from PAEC resident artists and local community groups, and the event was FREE and suitable for the whole family. Happening at the same time: the Flavor of Federal Way was also on site, with lots of food trucks to enjoy! We hope you stopped by.

Jet Cities will be singing at the Federal Way Arts Commission's Blue Poppy Day on Saturday, May 16, 2020; time to be determined (check back in early May). Presented in partnership with the Federal Way Arts Commission and the Pacific Bonsai Museum, Blue Poppy Day celebrates the natural beauty and talent in bloom in South Puget Sound. Experience the world-renowned Himalayan Blue Poppy meadow, shop at an art market featuring local artists, and enjoy a day of performances! FREE ALL DAY from 10am to 4pm. More information here. |
Looking for Love: our 2020 Sweetie Pie Social!
Our 16th Annual Sweetie Pie Social was held on Sunday, February 9, 2020, at Todd Beamer High School in Federal Way, WA. Joining us were Touchstone Quartet, a Harmony King Valentines Quartet, Decatur High School Jazz Ensemble, and of course, Jet Cities Chorus, under the leadership of Director Rachel Pack.
Each ticket came with a piece of pie and a beverage, plus we had many tempting raffle baskets, including the coveted Pie of the Month drawing. Keep the second Sunday in February open for 2021; we'd love to see you there. |

Jet Cities held our annual Performance Opportunity Program September 23 - November 3, 2019. Interested women rehearsed with us for 6 weeks of vocal instruction, learned to sing acapella style barbershop, and sang with us on our annual Community Appreciation Concert with the Harmony Kings Men's Chorus!

Jet Cities paired up with the men of the Harmony Kings Chorus to present a free concert for the Federal Way Community. The event began at 2:00 pm, and was held at Journey Church, 701 S 320th St, in Federal Way, WA 98003. This is an annual event; we hope to see you there next year!

November 23, 2019: Harvest Moon and Music Dinner and Auction
Jet Cities and the Harmony Kings Chorus joined up for an exciting evening of music and fun on Saturday, November 23, at 5:30 pm, at the Twin Lakes Golf and Country Club in Federal Way. There were performances by members of both groups, a fantastic dinner, and silent and live auctions. Lots of fun was had by all! If you were in attendance, THANKS for your support.
